Kraków - Krakow - Cracow

My parents and I then travelled to Krakow, the one of most beautiful cities in Poland. The city is interesting, so lively, and beautiful.

Krakow facts

In Krakow, people use Zloty (PLN). The ratio between Euro and Zloty is 1 by 3 up to 3,7.

No time difference between Poland and Germany/Netherland.

How to get there

1. The best offers is with Ryanair. Take the flight from eindhoven to krakow. Or from berlin to krakow but with Germanwings (transit at Köln) or Air Berlin (direct).

2. Soon as you arrive at the Krakow's ariport, you need to a free bus to the train station near the airport. The train station is quite small, from there you can take any train that goes to the center of the city (becareful, there is a train that goes to other direction as well).

You can buy the ticket also on board, there is a ticket machine in the train.

3. In Krakow, I stayed in Mosquito Hostel. It was fine and good and not too far from the main train station (ca. 5 minutes by walk).

Things to know

1. Girls are beautiful and cool.

2. Krakow sleeps at 1 or 2 am.

3. Again the portion of each menu is so big, so perhaps you can share with 2 up to 3 persons.

4. Pierogi and zapienkanky are the typical polish foods.

5. Sometimes you can find products promotion in the airpot (departure), if you'r lucky you will get sim card (Polich phone number) for free.

6. You have to visit Wawel Castle,the salt mine, Auschwitz, and the place where the late pope John Paul II was born where there are many chapel which are hidden in side the forest (coooll). Actually you can ask to a city tour office or to the hostel/hotel for the tour to those places but you can also go there your self.

My oppinion, Krakow is very nice and very impressive, lively, and beautiful. People are very polite and friendly. If you need a place to have fun but also to have a marvelous adventure then this city is the best one for you.

Kok ya masih aja bikin rusuh....

Saya agak bingung dengan keadaan Indonesia saat ini...

UUP or UUPorn

dimulai dari undang-undang pornografi (UUP atau UUPorn ?? hahaha) , UUP ini menurut saya baik ada nya, tetapi UUP ini harus di terapkan ke masyarakat yang punya disiplin tinggi. Sayangnya Indonesia mungkin belum sampai 100% rakyatnya punya disiplin tinggi. Malahan, dengan ada nya UUP ini muncul bentuk kriminalitas yang berkedok "kebenaran" (kriminal kok ya dibenarkan ???). Dari kenyataan ini muncul tindakan-tindakan anarkis, main hakim sendiri, unjuk kekuatan dsb... Mereka yang menjadi subjek mengatakan kalau "kami hanya ingin menegak kan undang-undan no sekian... sekian... sekian" sedang kan si objek penderita bilang "Maaf pak saya kilaf..." kemudian objek penyerta melihat ini semua dengan berkata "wahh anarkis sekali ... " atau bahkan ketawa-ketawa ngeliat master piece nya si Ariel.

Saya tahu mental orang Indonesia itu seperti apa karena saya juga orang Indonesia, saya rasa anda juga tahu bangsa kita seperti apa meski kadang kita malu untuk mengakuinya... ;)

Untuk mengubah Indonesia ini, revolusi saja sudah tidak cukup ... memang perlu sebuah evolusi. Redominasi dan sanering saja butuh waktu 10 tahun ... apa lagi untuk mengubah mental sebuah bangsa ? Entah proses apa yang di lakukan dalam kurun waktu evolusi itu, namun saya yakin-yakin saja kita hanya perlu waktu untuk menerima UUP.

FPI dan FBR

Forum Pembela Islam dan Forum Betawi Rempug... saya melihat fungsi mereka semakin tidak jelas... lalu ada yang nyaut "O... fungsi kamu jelas... kami hanya menegakkan UU" iya saya tau, tapi apa tidak ada jalan lain selain tindakan anarkis dan semena-mena ? misal nya diplomatis ... FPI dan FBR ini bagaimanapun juga tetap kumpulan orang Indonesia juga yang nota bene mempunyai mental "instan", semuanya ingin beres dalam waktu yang singkat. O.. saya lupa mereka juga tidak instan... mereka memberi waktu juga loh... 1 hari ? 1 minggu ? 1 bulan ? 1 tahun ? tapi tidak 10 tahun ;). Juragan-juragan FPI dan FBR, kita butuh waktu gan :D.

Katarsis

Katarsis adalah suatu bentuk penyaluran emosi. Yah ini hanya analisis pribadi saya semata, mungkin juga salah. Mungkin dibalik terbentuk nya ormas FPI dan FBR ada keterlibatan dari katarsis seseorang terhadap pemerintahan sebelum nya ... atau terhadap negara atau bangsa ini mengingat FPI terbentuk tahun 1998 tepat setelah Soeharto lengeser dan FBR pada tahun 2001. Jika benar demikian, orang ini lah musuh bangsa Indonesia yang sebenarnya ;)

Ada bacaan (Working paper) yang ada baik nya kita tahu, karena dari sudut pandang bangsa lain (Australia). Bagi anda yang pro/contra dan tidak seperti saya hanya "objek penyerta bodoh" tolong baca dengan kepala dingin :).

Many ways to Rome

One of them is form Eindhoven,

1. You choose Ryanair from eindhoven airport to ciampino (ITA), an airport near rome (about 30 mnts)

2. take bus 401 or 145 from eindhoven station to the eindhoven airport.

3. As soon as you arrive in ciampino, IT IS BETTER if you buy a ticket on board (4 euro) ! you can also buy a ticket in at the desk in the airport (3.9 euro) if you want to go to TERMINI station. There is another bus to Anagnina as well from ciampino. In the airport you can buy day ticket for 4 euro each ticket of 11 euro for 3 days.

4. I stayed in hotel called CAPUT MUNDI, very close to the termini station.

5. Around this hotel as well you can find some cheap menu (since the portion is large and a lot). We usually take 10 euro menu in the restaurante La Ginestra (red-dot in the map) and we share (up to 3 people hahaha).

6. For toilets, mainly you have to pay, but you can go to some SELF SERVICE restaurante and have it for free there :D... and it has to be self service restaurante otherwise you'll be kicked out ! haha

7. Things you will not do:

a. In colloseum there are a lot of people with the rome soldiers' custom ask you and sometimes force you to have a picture... DO NOT TAKE IT ! it cost 10 euro per person hehehe, you have to ask before you do !

b. sharing food in a big restaurante (except in the restaurante that i suggested).

c. pay without checking the price. You HAVE TO check all things you bought before you left the cashier.

8. If you hear a man say: "Fanculo, Katso, or Pale.." it means he is angry hahahahaha

To Vatican:

9. from TERMINI station take bus number 40. There 2 types of this bus, 40 and 40 express both are going to vatican city or you can travel by metro A (dir. Batitstini). And the easiest way to go back is using metro A (dir. Anagnina) again to Termini.

10. Every wednesday, pope leads a Mass in St. Peter square (10 am but you have to be there i guess 2 hour before). But you can also attend a Mass in side the St. Peter Basillica every day.

How to get to Volendam and Edam

The easiest way to reach Voldendam from Eindhoven:

1. Take a train from eindhoven station (NS) to Amsterdam Central Station (CS) in the direction to Aklmaar. (the return ticket cost 33 euro without discount card and 20 euro with discount card per person). Please keep in mind that sometimes there is non-direct train (please check for more detail in www.ns.nl).

2. When you arrive in Amsterdam CS. you go straight to the bus station A (there is A,B, and C). Take the stair or escalator to the second level where the bus stop is located, then you can take the bus to Volendam from there. There are 3 possibilities for the busses numbers: 110,116, and 118 (to Volendam or Edam via Volendam).

3. As soon as you arrive in Volendam, you just go straight to where the harbour is located. There you will find the place to take a photo like a dutch man/woman(ca. 25 euro). You can eat sea food with a reasonable price as well.

4. After you are done with Voldendam you can go to cheese fabric in Edam. ^_^. Just wait on the other side where you were arrived and see the bus to Edam.

5. From Edam you take bus 116 or 118 to Amsteram CS.
